At The University of Antwerp and University of Leuvan, they have developed a small device that can turn polluted air into clean energy. They conducted tests with the small device, putting it between 2 rooms. On one side air was cleaned, while on the other hydrogen gas is produced and can be saved and used as energy. The device only needs to be exposed to light in order to do its job, This technology is similar to solar energy, but different in the way that the energy created goes directly towards creating other energy and cleaning the air. This is very useful technology for polluted cities and benefits them in multiple ways. Once this device is fully developed, the impact will probably be very significant. The cost of producing this device is not yet known, but when it is available it will be a very important piece of technology. The researchers are currently trying to improve the efficiency of the device.
